The Sweetest Time of Year: Canadian Maple Syrup Season

March 15, 2018

All across the country, we can practically taste it: the beginning of the Canadian maple syrup season. Sweet sap drizzled onto ice and pulled up with a popsicle stick. Horse-drawn carriage rides through the groves of maple trees. And — best of all — the pancake breakfasts.

In 2017, a record-breaking 12.5 million gallons of maple syrup was tapped across the country, according to Statistics Canada. Want to get a taste of the sweet stuff for yourself? Check out these Canadian maple syrup festivals happening this spring.
